HIRAGANA don't work! Please help!

Q.
What in the world is wrong with my computer(Microsoft XP)?
My friend taught me about your website, and thanks to your intstructions, I got to type in Japanese - HIRAGANA and everything, just fine!!
But one day, I don't know what key I have touched, but while every other things are right there - the Language bar - Input Style/AInput Mode/Conversation Mode/IME Pad/Tools... just like the way it was! And I clicked HIRAGANA to type in Japanese, the all over sudden it only comes out in alphabets!!
I had no clue why it is happening, so I followed the instructions again(the only this time I did not insert the tried again today, did exactly the way the instructions says(the only difference this time was that I did not have to download the Microsoft XP CD because it was not asked to).
But no matter what I do or how many times I try, it never changes. I can only type in alphabets. So what's the sense of having all this language bar? I just cannot figure it out, what am I doing wrong?
Please help me!!!!!!!

A.
Hi Tomoko-san,

Your trouble sounds very strange.... Well,let me doublecheck on your PC settings.

1. You've already installed Japanese input services like below;
http://nihongopc.us/ossettings/xp31.html
and you can see "Japanese" in the installed services.

If so, let's check out this settings.

2. Have you ever tried to start your PC in "Safe mode"?
If not, try it a couple of times. Sometimes it helps to recover your basic settings.

3.Can you restore your system to an earlier date when you typed in Japanese correctly?
